About us

This website is operated by Engraved Society.

Business name
Engraved Society

In these Terms, โ€œweโ€, โ€œusโ€ and โ€œourโ€ refer to Engraved Society. โ€œYouโ€ and โ€œyourโ€ refer to the customer using our website or placing an order.

Our products

Engraved Society sells laser engraved products, gifts and personalised items. Products may include, but are not limited to, engraved coasters, keyrings, plaques, acrylic items, leatherette items, bottle openers, memorial items, home gifts and other engraved products.

Many of our products are made to order. Some items may be personalised using names, dates, messages, images, designs or wording supplied by you.

Due to the nature of laser engraving, slight variations may occur between product images and the finished item. This can include natural differences in material grain, shade, texture, engraving depth, positioning, contrast or finish. These variations are normal and do not usually indicate a fault.

Product descriptions and images

We aim to describe and display our products as accurately as possible. However, colours, finishes and engraving results may appear differently depending on your screen, device settings, lighting and the material being engraved.

Product images are for illustration purposes only unless clearly stated otherwise. Props, backgrounds and accessories shown in product photos may not be included unless they are specifically listed in the product description.

Personalised and custom orders

Where you provide personalised details, wording, names, dates, images or other custom information, you are responsible for checking that all information is correct before placing your order.

This includes checking:

  • spelling
  • grammar
  • punctuation
  • capital letters and lower-case letters
  • dates
  • names
  • layout
  • uploaded images
  • design choices
  • product options
  • font choices
  • colour choices, where applicable

We will engrave the information supplied by you. We are not responsible for mistakes in personalisation details where those details were provided by you incorrectly.

Once a personalised or custom order has entered production, it may not be possible to change or cancel it.

Customer-uploaded images, wording and designs

If you upload or provide images, logos, artwork, wording, designs or any other content for engraving, you confirm that:

  • you own the content or have permission to use it
  • the content does not infringe copyright, trade marks, privacy rights or any other third-party rights
  • the content is not unlawful, abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, obscene or otherwise inappropriate
  • the content can legally be engraved and supplied by us

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or amend an order if we believe the content provided is unlawful, offensive, inappropriate, technically unsuitable for engraving, or may infringe another personโ€™s rights.

If a third party makes a claim against us because of content you supplied, you may be responsible for any loss, cost, damage or expense we suffer as a result.

Account registration and guest checkout

You may place an order by creating an account or by checking out as a guest.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You must not share your password with anyone else. You are responsible for all activity under your account unless the activity was caused by our error.

You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when creating an account or placing an order. You should update your account details if your information changes.

We may suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe it has been misused, used fraudulently, or used in breach of these Terms.

Placing an order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to buy the selected product or products.

After placing an order, you may receive an order confirmation email. This confirms that we have received your order, but it does not necessarily mean your order has been accepted.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where:

  • the product is unavailable
  • there is an error in the price or product description
  • payment is not authorised
  • the order appears to be fraudulent
  • the personalisation is inappropriate or unlawful
  • we cannot deliver to the address provided
  • there has been a clear mistake on our website
  • the order cannot be fulfilled for another reasonable reason

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund you using the original payment method where possible.

Prices, currencies and payment

Prices on our website may be displayed and charged in pounds sterling (GBP ยฃ) and/or euros (EUR โ‚ฌ), depending on the currency options available at checkout, your location, and the payment method used.

All prices will be clearly shown before you complete your order. Delivery charges, taxes, customs charges or other applicable fees may be shown separately where relevant.

Where payment is made in a currency different from your bank account or payment card currency, your bank, card provider or payment provider may apply its own exchange rate or additional charges. We are not responsible for any currency conversion fees, international transaction fees or charges applied by your bank or payment provider.

Payment must be made at the time of placing your order. We use secure third-party payment providers to process payments. We do not ask you to send payment card details by email.

Your order will not normally be processed until payment has been received and authorised.

Money-off coupons, discount codes and promotions

From time to time, Engraved Society may issue money-off coupons, discount codes, promotional codes, sale offers or other promotional benefits. Each offer is subject to these Terms and to any additional conditions displayed with the offer.

One code per order

Only one money-off coupon or discount code may be used in a single order or transaction. Coupons and discount codes cannot be combined, stacked or used together with another coupon, discount code or promotional code unless we clearly state otherwise.

A gift card is treated as a payment method rather than a discount code. A valid gift card may therefore be used alongside one valid coupon or discount code, subject to the gift-card terms and the conditions of the coupon.

One-time use and later transactions

Unless an offer expressly states that it can be used more than once, each coupon or discount code is valid for one completed transaction only. After it has been redeemed, it cannot be reused on another order or later transaction.

Codes issued to a particular customer, email address or account may be personal to that customer and may not be transferred, copied, sold, published or shared.

Expiry dates and availability

A coupon or discount code may have an expiry date or limited redemption period. The code must be entered and successfully applied before the stated expiry date and time. An expired code has no value and will not normally be extended, reactivated or replaced.

Offers may also be limited by quantity, customer eligibility, geographical area, product availability or the number of permitted redemptions. An offer may end earlier if its available allocation has been used.

Minimum spend and product exclusions

A coupon or discount code may be subject to a minimum qualifying spend, maximum discount, selected products, selected categories, customer type, delivery destination or other exclusions.

Unless the offer states otherwise, delivery charges, gift-card purchases, previous orders, customs duties, taxes and third-party charges do not count towards a minimum qualifying spend.

Free standard shipping

Free standard shipping applies only when the qualifying order value is ยฃ30 or more after any coupon or discount code has been applied and before any gift-card balance is deducted.

If a coupon or discount code reduces the qualifying order value below ยฃ30, the order will no longer qualify for free standard shipping. A coupon or discount code does not itself count towards the ยฃ30 threshold.

How to apply a code

The code must be entered accurately in the coupon or promotional-code field before the order is completed. The customer is responsible for checking that the discount has been applied correctly before making payment.

Coupons and discount codes cannot normally be added retrospectively to an order after checkout has been completed.

No cash exchange or cash value

Coupons, discount codes and unused promotional value cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, gift cards, money back or cash change. They have no cash value and cannot be used to purchase or top up a gift card unless the offer expressly permits this.

If the value of a money-off coupon is greater than the value of the qualifying items, no cash change or remaining coupon balance will be provided unless the offer specifically states otherwise.

Returns, cancellations and refunds

If an order purchased using a coupon or discount code is cancelled, returned or refunded, any refund will normally be based on the amount actually paid after the discount was applied.

The coupon, discount code or promotional value will not automatically be reissued, reinstated or converted into cash following a cancellation, refund, failed delivery or return. Where an order contains several items, any discount may be allocated proportionately between the qualifying items when a partial refund is calculated.

Misuse, errors and withdrawal

We may refuse, cancel, suspend or withdraw a coupon, discount code or promotional offer where:

  • the code has expired
  • the eligibility conditions have not been met
  • the code has already been used
  • more than one code is being applied
  • the code has been copied, sold or shared without permission
  • we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or technical manipulation
  • the offer was published or configured in error
  • there is an obvious pricing or discount mistake

Where a genuine technical or administrative error occurs, we may correct the order, cancel the affected promotion or refund the amount paid. Nothing in this section limits any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Production times

Many of our products are made to order. Production times may vary depending on the product, personalisation requirements, order volume and material availability.

Any production times shown on the website are estimates only unless we specifically state otherwise.

We will make reasonable efforts to produce and dispatch your order within the estimated timeframe, but we are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control.

Delivery

Delivery options and estimated delivery times will be shown during checkout where applicable.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. We are not responsible for failed or delayed delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete address details supplied by you.

Once your order has been dispatched, delivery may be handled by a third-party courier or postal provider. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by events outside our control, including postal delays, courier delays, weather, strikes, customs checks or high seasonal demand.

If your parcel is returned to us because of an incorrect address, failed delivery attempt, refusal to accept delivery or failure to collect, we may ask you to pay any additional delivery costs before the order is resent.

Customs, import duties and taxes

If you order products for delivery outside the United Kingdom, your order may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, handling charges, postal charges or courier administration fees when it reaches the destination country.

You are responsible for checking whether any customs duties, import taxes or local charges apply before placing your order. These charges are set by the destination country and are not controlled by Engraved Society.

Where applicable, customs duties, VAT, import charges or handling fees may be collected at checkout, by the courier, by the postal provider, or by the relevant customs authority before or upon delivery.

Engraved Society is based in the United Kingdom. Customers ordering from Ireland, the EU or any country outside the UK are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, handling fees or other charges that may apply in their country.

Orders delivered to Ireland or the European Union

From 1 July 2026, a new โ‚ฌ3 Customs Duty applies to each distinct item category, based on its tariff heading, for goods valued at โ‚ฌ150 or less purchased from outside the European Union.

This means that if a parcel contains multiple items of the same type, the โ‚ฌ3 charge is generally applied once for that item category. If a parcel contains different types of items, each different item category may attract a separate โ‚ฌ3 charge.

Depending on the retailer, marketplace, courier or postal provider, this charge may be collected at checkout or upon delivery alongside any applicable VAT or handling fees.

As this duty is generally non-refundable, customers ordering goods for delivery to Ireland or the EU should check the shipping origin, delivery terms and possible customs charges before purchasing to avoid unexpected costs.

Risk and ownership

The products become your responsibility once they have been delivered to the address you provided.

Ownership of the products passes to you once we have received full payment for the order.

Cancellations and changes

You should contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel or change an order.

For non-personalised products, you may have the right to cancel your order within the applicable cancellation period.

For personalised, custom-made or made-to-order products that are made to your specification or clearly personalised, you do not have the same right to cancel once production has started, unless the product is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet your legal rights.

Where possible, we may agree to make changes before production begins, but we cannot guarantee that changes can be made after an order has been placed.

Returns and refunds

We want you to be happy with your order. Please contact us if there is a problem.

For non-personalised products, returns may be accepted where you notify us within the applicable cancellation period and return the item in unused, resaleable condition.

Personalised or custom-made products cannot usually be returned or refunded simply because you changed your mind, chose the wrong option, supplied incorrect personalisation, or no longer want the item.

This does not affect your legal rights if the product is faulty, damaged, not as described, or not made with reasonable care.

To request a return, refund or replacement, please contact us at:

Please include:

  • your name
  • order number
  • details of the issue
  • clear photos of the product and packaging, where relevant

We may ask you to return the product before a refund or replacement is issued.

Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method used for the order.

Any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, courier handling fees or administration fees charged by a destination country, courier or postal provider may not be refundable by Engraved Society. If you are returning an international order, you are responsible for checking whether any import charges can be refunded by the relevant customs authority, courier or postal provider.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect products

If your product arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible.

You may be asked to provide photographs so we can assess the issue. If the product is confirmed to be faulty, damaged in transit, incorrectly supplied, or not as described, we will offer an appropriate remedy. This may include a repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.

We are not responsible for faults caused by:

  • normal wear and tear
  • misuse
  • accidental damage
  • failure to follow care instructions
  • incorrect information supplied by you
  • alterations made by you or a third party
  • unsuitable storage or handling after delivery

Care of products

Some engraved products may require careful handling. You should follow any care instructions provided on the product page, packaging or order insert.

Unless stated otherwise, engraved products should not be exposed to excessive moisture, heat, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning products or prolonged direct sunlight.

Failure to follow care instructions may affect the appearance and durability of the product.

We aim to keep our website available and working properly. However, we do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free from errors.

We may suspend, withdraw, update or change any part of the website without notice.

  • place fraudulent or misleading orders
  • upload unlawful, offensive or infringing content

Limitation of liability

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, business losses, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, or loss of goodwill where you are purchasing as a consumer for personal use.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of your legal consumer rights.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

This may include postal or courier delays, strikes, severe weather, fire, flood, illness, supply chain issues, technical failures, payment provider issues, internet outages, changes in law, customs delays, border delays or other events beyond our control.

If an event outside our control affects your order, we will contact you where reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the delay.

Complaints

If you have a complaint, please contact us using the details below:

Please include your order number, contact details and a clear description of the issue.

We will aim to respond to complaints within a reasonable time.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The version that applies to your order will be the version in force at the time you place the order.

The latest version of these Terms will be available on our website.
